RSG Inc. is a Health Care Clearinghouse and thus a Covered Entity as defined by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). As such, RSG Inc. must comply with many of the provisions of HIPAA, though not those that apply only to health care providers and/or health plans.
RSG Inc. was in full compliance with the Transaction and Code Set Rule, the Privacy Rule and the Security Rule of HIPAA by the applicable deadline and continues to be in full compliance with these Rules. RSG Inc. anticipates no difficulty in coming into full compliance with the National Provider Identifier Rule by the May 2007 deadline.
